The System/Network Administrator Level 2 provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role will focus on support of our Remedy and logistics application infrastructure. The candidate should be familiar with containerization and participate in future planning for upgrades and design changes. This role supports a large user base and works with the database team and tiers 1 and 2. The successful candidate will manage the customer's Microsoft Identity Manager and MS SQL environment by performing the following: Support virtual Windows servers in production and lab, support products and technologies such as Microsoft Identity Manager portal, sync engine, RDBMS, MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), VisualStudio, tSQL, C#, and understand interactions with Active Directory, MS Exchange, and other customer applications. The role also involves maintaining data integrity and data flow, performing troubleshooting, configuration changes, application patches, and OS patches as needed. Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
  • Configure and manage Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software.
  • Build, configure, monitor, and maintain virtual environments.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years' experience as a system administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Current possession of one of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate-Server (MSCA-Serv) Server 2008, MSCA-Serv Server 2012, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert-Server (MSCE-Serv) Server Infrastructure, MSCE-Serv Desktop Infrastructure, MSCE-Serv Messaging, MSCE-Serv Communication, MSCE-Serv SharePoint, Microsoft Certified IT Professional - Windows Server (MCITP - Serv) Administrator on Windows Server 8, MCITP - Serv Virtualization Administrator on Windows Server 8, MCITP-EXG Enterprise Messaging Admin on Exchange 2010, Computer Technology Industry Association - Linux +, Linux Professional Institute-Level 1(LPI-1), Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Sun Certified Systems Administrator (SCSA), VMWare Certified Professional (Vsphere 5) (VCP5), Computer Technology Industry Association - Storage +, or Network+.

Nice-to-haves

  • Personnel must be fully cleared with a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the last seven (7) years and/or have been enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Eligible personnel also require a favorably adjudicated Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSPG) within the last seven (7) years and must have completed a Full Scope Polygraph (FSPG) during the course of the applicant's initial or continued final clearance processing.
