About the position

The System Operations & Support Specialist at Members Choice Credit Union is responsible for administering critical enterprise processing systems and providing support to system end-users. This role involves collaboration with vendors and the IT department to test, debug, and upgrade systems, focusing on automation and integration to enhance organizational scalability. The Specialist also optimizes enterprise systems to improve productivity and reduce operational costs, assists with special projects, and ensures compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer critical enterprise and departmental processing systems, including user access and permissions management.
  • Communicate system outages and critical events to end-users using effective change management principles.
  • Coordinate projects to improve system and operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Assist or lead special projects and audit remediation tasks as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal IT employees, vendors, and external partners.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights for operational improvement.
  • Perform root cause analysis on system disruptions when necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for system end-users and provide training as needed.
  • Create and maintain procedures and guidelines for operational functions on SharePoint sites.
  • Test applications and systems after upgrades to ensure proper functionality.
  • Stay updated on industry rules and regulations and modify systems accordingly.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in banking, preferably with member service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Basic knowledge of banking industry products, programs, services, rules, and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Symitar and Meridian Link software applications.
  • College education preferred but not required.
