About the position

The System Project Lead at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering, LLC is responsible for overseeing the evaluation of specifications across various engineering domains, including Software, Hardware, Functional Safety, and Security. This role serves as a key technical point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues. The position involves managing system development, validation, and delivery processes while adhering to industry standards such as ISO26262 and ASPICE. Additionally, the System Project Lead is tasked with budget planning, project reporting, and the creation of technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support evaluation of specifications across Software, Hardware, and System engineering.
  • Serve as a technical first point of contact for customer projects.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and coaching on EPS architecture.
  • Ensure system development, validation, and delivery according to guidelines and processes.
  • Budget planning and reporting for project engineering, development, and testing costs.
  • Review and approve System FMEAs, Safety Failure Tree Analysis (FTAs), and Software Design Failure Analysis (DFAs).
  • Assist in the creation of technical safety concepts and release of Technical Customer Documentation (TCD).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of work experience as a Development Engineer, Technical Project Lead, or in automotive product development.
  • Experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of systems/requirements engineering and product development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing safety-critical products following ISO26262 standards.
  • Proficiency in creating product specification documentation.
  • Familiarity with Windchill (PLM Software) and DOORS (Requirements management tool).
