As a System QA Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the validation process for specific products. This includes executing tests, reporting issues, and validating fixes independently. You will need to communicate effectively with various teams, ensuring that all defect reports are comprehensive and include necessary details such as logs, timestamps, and screenshots. Timeliness is crucial in this role, as you will be expected to manage validation requests and lab management tasks efficiently. The position requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as a self-driven attitude towards learning and technical curiosity. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear and effective interactions with team members and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Owns validation for particular product which includes executing tests, reporting issues and validating fixes independently.
  • Ensures all communication with cross-functional teams is clear, effective and timely.
  • Writes all defect reports clearly with all applicable logs, timestamps, screenshots, etc. as required.
  • Performs all validation requests in the queue in a timely manner.
  • Manages all lab management tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Unix and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in Python or any programming language.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience closing quality issues by working with a wide range of cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-learner; independent and technically curious.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Python is preferred.
