About the position

The System Security Manager at West Bank is responsible for overseeing the bank's overall information technology security posture, focusing on cybersecurity and risk management. This role involves developing and evaluating risk management processes, managing the daily operations of the Security Team, and enhancing security strategies to mitigate potential threats. The position also includes providing user support and engaging with the community through leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate risk management processes and procedures in accordance with the bank's Information Security policies and risk appetite.
• Responsible for the daily operation of the Security Team.
• Maintain and administer system security, monitoring and analyzing security systems for anomalies and potential indicators of compromise.
• Develop new or enhance current security strategies and procedures to mitigate potential risks/threats.
• Administer security systems to ensure reliability, identify vulnerable areas, and implement or recommend solutions to enhance/strengthen the systems.
• Research and provide recommendations to management to elevate the overall security posture of IT.
• Manage and evaluate the performance and production of the Security Team, including Security Analysts and Network Administrators.
• Provide training and foster a work environment that encourages teamwork and excellent communication.
• Resolve escalated user support issues from HelpDesk and provide support to System Administrators and other departments as needed.
• Serve in a leadership position or as a volunteer in at least one community organization and represent West Bank at events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree/certification.
• Two years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Good understanding/knowledge of Network/System administration or Network Security Analysis.
• Knowledge of Endpoint and Network detection and response (EDR and NDR), SIEM solutions, Privilege access management (PAM), Application whitelisting, NextGen firewalls, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST Cybersecurity frameworks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Office365, Azure, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
• High level analysis, troubleshooting, technical, and leadership skills.
