About the position

The System Services Representative (SSR) at IBM serves as the primary technical interface for clients, coordinating hardware and software support and delivering operational services. This role is crucial for ensuring client satisfaction through effective service delivery, preventive maintenance, and technical support for IBM and multi-vendor systems. The SSR is responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair, while also identifying new service opportunities to enhance client experience and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • On-site installation, maintenance, and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface to clients for service delivery.
  • Support clients with preventive maintenance and basic configuration.
  • Perform service activities such as systems assurance and installation planning.
  • Maintain accurate customer records on the Cognitive Support Platform.
  • Interact with customers using strong interpersonal skills to provide accurate estimations on active work orders.
  • Identify new service opportunities to protect revenue and enhance client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license

  • Technical aptitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical role
  • Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, interpersonal, and technical skills.
