System Software Engineer, High Integrity Data Pipelining

About the position

The position involves working with the NvStreams team at NVIDIA, which is integral to the development of artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles. The role focuses on improving NvStreams APIs, designing next-generation interfaces, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the scalability and delivery of the NvStreams library across NVIDIA software products. The candidate will ensure compliance with automotive safety and security standards while implementing forward-looking improvements in the technology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements to NvStreams APIs to reduce complexity and enhance flexibility.
• Design and implement next generation of NvStreams interfaces for seamless use across platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with software and product management teams to develop scalable NvStreams library delivery flow.
• Define and implement improvements in NvStreams with ownership of end-to-end processes complying with automotive standards.

Requirements

• BS, MS in CS/CE/EE or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience in building complex systems with multiple threads, CPUs, accelerators, and chips.
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, including resource management and device drivers.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Operating System security, including memory sharing and message communication.
• Knowledge of Automotive quality standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.
• Hands-on experience with formal verification methods and tools like Ada/SPARK and TLA+.
• Experience in process automation and implementation.
