About the position

The Systems Engineer role at GE Vernova focuses on the design, creation, and optimization of systems related to HVDC technologies and renewable energy. Responsibilities

  • Model and perform studies; deliver study reports.
  • Provide technical guidance to peers in areas of expertise.
  • Engage in customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Develop and industrialize solution tools and processes associated with engineering activities.
  • Actively participate in new developments in HVDC technologies and implement control and protection solutions.
  • Represent the business in external events by publishing technical papers or participating in working groups.
  • Adhere to company policies and the Code of Conduct.
  • Consider health and safety preventions and attend EHS training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in network or transient studies for HVDC/FACTS/Renewable Energy/Inverter based Power Systems.
  • Willingness to travel 20% including international travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems and power electronics.
  • Knowledge of system tools such as SIMULINK MATLAB, DSAT.
  • Experience with RAM Studies.
  • Professional Engineering license.
