About the position

The System Test Engineer, AI Driving Integration will play a crucial role in supporting development testing efforts for an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company. This position involves leading the specification and execution of systems integration plans, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure the safety and comfort of driving features and AI integration deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Support development testing efforts, including functional and regression testing.
• Lead the specification and execution of systems integration plans.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, safety experts, and simulation engineers for driving features and AI integration deliverables.
• Design tooling improvements and document processes to accelerate the diagnosis of AV behavior from simulation and on-vehicle testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate features and validate driving behavior for safety and comfort.
• Provide input to the simulation tools development team on capabilities required by the test teams.
• Implement dashboards and progress-tracking reports using a metrics-based approach to improve efficiency.
• Track, report, and prioritize defects using the defect tracking system, ensuring their resolution.
• Test, troubleshoot, and root cause full-stack components from hardware/firmware to user interface.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in testing complex software systems or other modeling and simulation roles
• Experience in mission- or safety-critical product development environments
• Experience designing and implementing test strategies that scale across multiple test teams
• Proficiency in Git, CI environments, Python, Jupyter, and Linux-based operating systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
