System Validation Engineering Intern

As an intern in the System Validation group, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers from Systems and System Validation group to help enrich your knowledge in RFID system performance testing automation. The RFID System Solutions Automation Testing Platform Development project in San Diego aims to enhance testing capabilities by building robust test fixtures and developing a Web GUI for automation in configuration, execution, and data management. The project includes an initial trail run for data collection and analysis. Key milestones include the design and setup of test fixtures, automation tool architecture, GUI and backend implementation, data storage, and report generation, with contributions from various team members and interns.

Responsibilities

• GUI Envision and Layout Design
• Design and Implement the Web GUI Tool Access Security Control (Log in)
• Design and Implement Testing Configuration, including layout selection, reader configuration, FW selection, etc.
• Design and Implement Testing Execution Control, including Reader, RF Modes, Channel, Region, inventory operation, etc.
• Design and Implement Tool Access Schedule control
• Design and Implement Testing Report formats and Downloading
• Design and Implement Testing Log file management
• Support Trail Run and data collection if time allowed

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related STEM field such as EECS or Electrical Engineering
• Strong academic foundation in Computer Science concepts, including Data Structures, Operating Systems, Algorithms, Databases, Client-Side Development, Data Science, and Informatics
• Hands-on experience and subject matter expertise in software development using Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, SQL, REST API integration, and JIRA
• Ability to conceptualize and design web-based GUIs with data visualization capabilities
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and effectively self-manage tasks
• Experience with data management, critical analysis, and strong attention to detail
