About the position

The Systems Administrator - IT & Cybersecurity Support role at RIB involves providing technical assistance and support for software and hardware, ensuring the security of on-premises and cloud-based environments, and maintaining high levels of service within the IT and Cybersecurity group. The position is crucial for driving security measures and supporting the company's growth through effective management of technology assets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as software/hardware support to the company, providing technical assistance to staff.
  • Respond to requests for service and determine the nature and extent of support needed.
  • Provide infrastructure support including installing networked application software, managing users and groups, and ensuring security configurations are within applicable policy.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment and software used throughout the company.
  • Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that backup, recovery, and security procedures are set up and performed according to business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintain technical documentation of systems and networks, asset management system, and inventory of all hardware.
  • Collect and analyze intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs to evaluate unauthorized access or information exfiltration.
  • Identify and remediate security gaps, develop security guidelines and best practices, and maintain security documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related major.
  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Information Security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, Office 365 Administration is a plus.
  • Proficient in application performance monitoring, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Experience with servers and desktops, VLANs, VPN, wireless, bandwidth management, and Information Security in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with software provisioning and management, including perpetual, SaaS, and volume licensing.
  • Strong organizational skills for a fast-paced, high-visibility position.
