About the position

The Systems Administrator at Alpine Bank is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of assigned systems, with a focus on cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and CIS. This role involves strategic planning, capacity planning, and resolving daily technical issues while advising the IT Leadership team on security and system hardening controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for system software and hardware problems.
• Manage application security processes, active directory integration, and auditing of system permissions.
• Research system requirements for upgrades and future migrations.
• Recommend and implement policies and standards, ensuring adherence to security procedures.
• Prepare and execute testing and data validation of new applications and features.
• Maintain and support application interfaces, release upgrades, and patch installations.
• Evaluate system specifications and working parameters for hardware and software.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing.
• Collaborate with Help Desk, internal departments, end-users, and software vendors to resolve issues.
• Work with the Infrastructure team on planning and implementation of system features and products.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and workflows as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent experience with standard industry certifications.
• 5+ years working in information technology.
• 2+ years working on CIS and NIST framework implementation and compliance monitoring for Microsoft Windows platforms.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License.
• High overall technical knowledge of IT systems.
• Ability to handle complex issues and problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Tanium platform experience preferred.

Benefits

• Starting Rate of Pay from $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
