About the position

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator/Engineer proficient in Linux, WebSphere, and WebLogic to manage and support various server platforms. The role involves maintaining the Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructure, performing backups and recovery, managing hardware/software installations, and collaborating with multiple IT teams to ensure optimal system performance and security.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor, and support the Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructure and other Linux-based vendor provided server platforms.
  • Perform backups, recovery, performance analysis, resolution, and deployment of Linux systems.
  • Manage hardware/software installations, security add-ons, and upgrades to integrate Red Hat Linux technologies with other platforms.
  • Create and manage server templates for Linux-based platforms and implement a platform patching system.
  • Conduct research on cutting-edge technologies and implement POCs for management approval.
  • Assist database administrators and provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Maintain records of systems, procedures documentation, and performance records; arrange vendor services for reconfiguration.
  • Implement and support systems in a data center environment.
  • Manage multi-platform application environments including day-to-day support, CI/CD, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiently handle server management and command line operations in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Implement application server clustering and conduct performance tuning.
  • Configure and update SSL certificates, data sources, and JDBC connection pools.
  • Support application developers and collaborate with various IT teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience required.
  • 2 years of experience supporting Red Hat Linux, including expertise in installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of large scale system administration experience including installation, configuration, deployment, and production support.
  • Understanding of SSL/TLS configurations and user authentication mechanisms (LDAP, SSO).
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation.
  • Well versed in networking concepts and system monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and quick adaptability.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and Apache Tomcat.
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM), Nexus, SVN, and Jenkins.
