About the position

The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the daily operations of the TUHS infrastructure environment, including the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. This role focuses on enhancing system reliability and performance, supporting client environments like Citrix, and ensuring the availability of data and applications. The position also involves providing Tier 3 technical support and participating in documentation maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the TUHS infrastructure environment.
  • Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software.
  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Support hosted client/end user environments such as Citrix.
  • Monitor performance of all systems to ensure availability of data, applications, and computing resources.
  • Assist project teams with technical issues.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support and 24x7 on-call services for supported environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including maintenance, audit, and change management records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 3 Years experience with the design and development of complex systems (Required)
  • 3 Years experience with Windows, Linux, or UNIX server operating systems (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Preferred)
  • MCITP - Microsoft Cert IT Professional (Preferred)
  • MCSE - Microsoft Cert Solutions Expert (Preferred)
