About the position

The Systems Administrator (Linux) position at Nightwing involves working in a hybrid environment to support U.S. Government customers by developing and implementing advanced cloud-oriented automation and orchestration architectures. The role emphasizes the importance of automated workflows over manual tasks, ensuring the reliability of mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced, cloud-oriented automation and orchestration architectures for cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision.
  • Lead Agile Scrum teams in system design and implementation of autonomous cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Mentor and supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to derive and develop capability architectures and requirements.
  • Deliver integrated solutions to meet changing business needs.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of requirements-driven automation architecture.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Ability to work effectively as a leader, in a group, or as an individual contributor
  • Experience as a Scrum Master, Tech Lead, or Product Owner
  • Experience communicating with senior leadership
  • Ability to shape stakeholder direction and influence outcomes
  • Independently driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in complex autonomous package builds or infrastructure automation
  • 2+ years of experience in AWS or MS Azure
  • Strong knowledge of automation tooling and pipeline deployments
  • Hands-on experience in creating API-driven workflows and event-driven automation
  • Experience with Lean-Agile principles and metrics
  • Experience with agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading teams at the tech lead or product owner level
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Ansible, Chef, AWS Lambda, Terraform
  • Programming experience in Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, or Ruby
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows
  • Experience with NTP, DNS, Networking, LDAP
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
  • AWS cloud technology knowledge
  • Experience designing event-driven microservice architectures
  • Experience in technical oversight of projects
  • Experience in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.
