About the position

The Systems Administrator (Linux) position at Technology Service Corporation (TSC) involves managing multiple Information Systems (IS) in compliance with DoD/Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies. The role requires supporting existing ISs and assisting in the development and accreditation of new ISs, making it ideal for IT professionals passionate about contributing to critical US Government missions through advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain computer information systems utilizing Linux operating systems
• Communicate with IS Owners (ISO) to ensure systems meet their needs
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of security documentation
• Harden systems to meet DoD security policies
• Perform system maintenance, updates, and backups
• Coordinate with government security accessors and other representatives

Requirements

• Bachelor of science or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years systems administrator experience with 3 or more years of Linux network administration
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD top security clearance
• IAT Level 2 (per DoD 8570.01M)

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Network Configurations and architecture
• Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software
• Knowledgeable of the Risk Management Framework and DoD 8510.01
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
• Experience maintaining classified systems
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience building server environments
• COMSEC experience
