About the position

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard operating procedures in a secure environment for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role involves analyzing information assurance requirements for networked and standalone systems, designing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also manage user accounts, provide IT recommendations, and maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures in a secure environment for DoD programs.
  • Analyze information assurance requirements for networked and standalone systems.
  • Design, develop, and recommend security solutions for various operating systems.
  • Ensure system security measures comply with regulatory requirements (ICD 705, RMF, JSIG, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain IT security documentation.
  • Manage user and system accounts and access controls.
  • Provide operation and IT recommendations, including backup solutions.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation such as standard operating procedures and network diagrams.
  • Review Nessus scans and create reports using NetWitness.
  • Provide administration support services for Windchill PDM/PLM and Creo 3D CAD Modeling package.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • CompTIA Security Plus Certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree plus eight years of relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience maintaining systems and servers in government environments or as a Security professional.
  • Must currently hold a SECRET security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Assessment and Authorization processes.
  • Ability to meet the DoD 8570.01 Manual (M) Baseline Certification - IAT Level II or any approved DoD baseline certification such as Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in network configuration and policy management review for classified systems.
  • Experience supporting Linux and Windows operating systems.
