About the position

The Systems Administrator LVL II (C4ISR) at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is responsible for installing, managing, configuring, monitoring performance, and maintaining both physical and virtualized servers within computer networks. This role ensures that computer systems operate securely and efficiently for the Mission Training Complex (MTC), while also troubleshooting and resolving system errors and inefficiencies. The position requires managing various Command & Control (C2) systems and maintaining system documentation, backup recovery procedures, and application testing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Install, manage configuration, monitor performance, and maintain physical and virtualized servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system errors and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure computer systems operate securely and efficiently for the Mission Training Complex (MTC).
  • Manage Mission Command Information Systems (MCiS) and a variety of Command & Control (C2) systems.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Develop and implement backup recovery procedures and application testing strategies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Implement DISA STIGs and IAVM patching for all systems within the network enclave boundary.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations and training.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (Required).
  • DoD 8570.01M/8140.03 IAT Level II Certified; DoDM 8140.03 DCWF Role 451 System Administrator certification preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019 or newer, including Active Directory, Radius, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Familiarity with maintaining and operating Trellis ENS and Tenable Security Center (ACAS) scans.
  • Familiarity with maintaining and operating SQL server.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years' experience in a related field (preferred).
  • Storage Arrays and LUNs/iSCSI experience.
