About the position

The Systems Administrator - Mid-Level position at The One 23 Group is focused on providing advanced support for government services, particularly within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian sectors. The role involves managing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies while fostering a people-first culture and embracing innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform full system upgrades and repairs for Linux and Windows systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues.
• Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery while maintaining a log of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and install software releases and upgrades.
• Evaluate and install security patches.
• Create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS.
• Create accounts and set up user-specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures.
• Acquire system accreditation and ensure personnel comply with system security policies.
• Submit requirements within Service+ for any computer, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related field or work experience.
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Experience with Windows Administration, including Active Directory and hardening Windows instances per DISA STIG or equivalent.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Local Group Policy Updates/Management.
• Knowledge of Users and Group Management and Windows File Shares.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud architecture, including Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Clearance: TS/SCI.
