About the position

As a Systems Administrator with GDIT, you will play a crucial role in supporting operational integration and special support of operations services management for intelligence customers. This position involves overseeing the orchestration of new services, ensuring their smooth adoption, and providing operational leadership support to the Operations Support team. You will be responsible for managing technical service engineering lanes, providing remote access support, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Your work will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations within a 24x7 support environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the integration of new services, overseeing their successful adoption into the program.
  • Lead and manage the integration of operations across all technical service engineering lanes, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic managerial support to the Operations Support Leadership team, enhancing the team's performance and service delivery.
  • Utilize ITIL services management and project management familiarity to streamline processes and methodologies within the team.
  • Provide technical surge support in areas such as proactive SLA/AQL compliance and systems administration of virtual servers and services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in systems administration in an operational IT support environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems is a plus.
  • ITIL v4 certification and a deep understanding of project management processes and methodologies is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (ScrumMaster, SAFe, etc.).
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II Compliance or higher is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a virtual enterprise environment is a definite plus.
  • Working experience with ITSM software suites, preferably ServiceNow.
