About the position
The Systems Administrator - SME at The One 23 Group is responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, securing, monitoring, and managing cloud-based infrastructure components. This role requires expertise in maintaining operating systems and web analytics platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The position emphasizes a people-first culture and innovative technologies to support government services, particularly within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, secure, monitor, and manage cloud-based infrastructure components across multiple cloud providers.
- Install, configure, secure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CENTOS, and Windows Server.
- Maintain enterprise-class web analytics collection platforms using PHP, MySQL, Apache, and similar technologies.
- Troubleshoot, document, and resolve complex system, network, and database issues.
- Perform regular system health checks and backups on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Evaluate and install application and operating system security patches, maintaining logs of system problems and downtime metrics.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory lists and manage software releases and upgrades.
- Create and manage application user accounts and access control based on least privilege methodologies.
- Design and utilize custom scripts for inventory and reporting of the Intelligence Community's web attributes.
- Provide expert technical guidance to program and senior leadership on web analytics technologies and potential issues.
- Document actions necessary to obtain and maintain full Authority To Operate (ATO) system accreditation, including implementing STIGs and collaborating with accreditation authorities.
Requirements
- 15+ years of related field or work experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Intelligence Community's web ecosystem and topology.
- Experience with PHP, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience maintaining high-traffic web servers and AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience within software/web/HTML development.
- Experience creating, deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based MySQL and other relational databases.
- Experience working with JavaScript, Web Services, SQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with Enterprise Services such as GEOAxIS, VDSS, Cloud Operations, Active Directory, and DNS.
Nice-to-haves
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or systems administration.
