About the position

The Systems Analyst 2 position involves developing and implementing comprehensive data migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR. The role requires ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, conducting rigorous testing, and providing post-migration support. The analyst will work closely with subject matter experts to document processes and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR.
• Document all phases of the migration process and create detailed project documentation in line with HHSS/DIR requirements.
• Design and implement workflows that integrate with the existing system to ensure a seamless transition.
• Ensure compliance with HHSc standards, including clinical data management and security.
• Establish protocols for data integrity, privacy, and compliance with federal and state regulations, such as HIPAA.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts and managing test scenarios.
• Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to explain the migration process and technical challenges.
• Facilitate post-migration support, including training end-users and preparing comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience with database management systems and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems like Netsmart myAvatar.
• 7 years of experience utilizing Informix, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server SQL and database scripting for data migration processes.
• 7 years of experience documenting business process flows and standardizing process flow improvements.
• 7 years of experience in business analysis, including reviewing and evaluating user requirements and operational procedures.
• 7 years of experience resolving complex data-related issues using analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
• 7 years of experience preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
• 7 years of exceptional oral and written communication skills for producing clear project documentation.
• 7 years of strong interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams and inspire collaboration.
• 7 years of in-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights.
• 7 years of knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to information systems and organizational structure.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
• 2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
• 2 years of familiarity with existing and planned software technology and software architecture components.
• 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.
