About the position

The Systems Analyst for Power Platform is a remote role focused on providing advanced technical services for the analysis, design, development, and implementation of complex application systems. This position supports Microsoft Power Platform Governance efforts and involves analyzing business needs, ensuring compliance with IT requirements, and acting as a liaison between business partners and the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The role requires a high level of competency in applications systems analysis and design, with responsibilities spanning the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze business needs to formulate and define system scope and objectives.
  • Design interfaces to connect and integrate systems to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and OIT to ensure business needs are met.
  • Evaluate and facilitate OIT policy adherence to internal and Vendor Hosted systems.
  • Monitor Vendor Hosted systems to ensure compliance with contracted IT requirements.
  • Perform analysis and documentation of business and system interactions.
  • Design technical solutions to business issues and collaborate with the Application Development team for implementation.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including Requirements Definition, Systems Analysis and Design, Change Management Documentation, System Integration, User Acceptance Testing, and Project Timeline Estimation.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Previous experience in a government setting.
  • Ability to analyze contractual requirements and work with vendors to provide deliverables.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and translate technical requirements to business and vendors.
  • Experience in documentation of application status and actions needed for compliance.
  • Competence in all phases of applications systems analysis and design activities.
