About the position

The Systems Analyst (Backend JAVA Developer) role involves writing, modifying, and debugging computer programs with minimal supervision. The position focuses on developing and enhancing IT applications and services, troubleshooting programming issues, and collaborating with a geographically separated team to ensure effective application development and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and modify computer programs.
• Independently troubleshoot reported programming issues and provide timely solutions.
• Support and enhance existing IT applications and services, including new EDI requirements and client acquisitions.
• Prepare and run test plans as needed.
• Complete daily departmental duties in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system/application performance issues with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with a geographically separated team on application development, bug fixing, enhancements, and QA processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years hands-on experience with RDBMS - Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres.
• 4+ years' hands-on experience with JAVA programming language.
• Good knowledge of data structures, data exchange, and data conversion.
• Knowledge of Internet/Intranet and client/server technologies.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task while communicating with management and team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies.
