About the position

O.C. Tanner is seeking a Systems Analyst - Client Liaison to join our Strategic Account Solution team. This position is crucial for working with our most strategic clients, ensuring their technical development priorities and needs are met. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, representing client requirements and tracking the status of development and technical service requests. This role requires a deep understanding of client-specific objectives and the ability to foster changes that support our largest accounts. In this hybrid role, the analyst will work in the Salt Lake City office from Monday to Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursdays and Fridays. The analyst will coordinate with clients and internal partners to align technical needs with overall product and client desired outcomes. As the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), the analyst will participate in client meetings, ensuring that all technical requirements are appropriately prioritized and documented. The role also involves developing supporting documentation such as workflow diagrams and usage instructions, planning for risk mitigation, and exploring comprehensive solutions to potential challenges. The analyst will leverage tools like Jira to manage client technical development needs and ensure effective communication of status updates. Building relationships based on respect and trust is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively when certain enhancements or ideas cannot be pursued. The analyst will also be responsible for facilitating the transition of newly revised processes to affected teams and managing competing priorities with appropriate communication.

Responsibilities

  • Understand signature client specific objectives, requirements, and technical needs.
  • Foster changes designed to support our largest accounts.
  • Coordinate with Clients and internal partners to gain an understanding of technical needs.
  • Help align technical needs with overall product and client desired outcomes.
  • Be the technical SME while participating in Client meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to appropriately prioritize client technical requirements.
  • Develop applicable supporting documentation for Clients, such as workflow diagrams and usage instructions.
  • Plan for and mitigate risk, anticipate potential questions, and explore comprehensive/workable solutions.
  • Leverage Jira to manage all client technical development needs related to enhancement and defect management.
  • Develop tracking system to ensure effective status and communications.
  • Follow up with necessary internal teams to ensure accurate status updates.
  • Foster adoption of a logical design way of working (People, Process, Technology).
  • Utilize data and existing tools to inform necessary changes.
  • Establish relationships based on respect and trust.
  • Successfully introduce and facilitate transition of newly revised processes to affected teams.
  • Communicate appropriately when enhancements and ideas will not have further consideration.
  • Respect competing priorities and manage communication appropriately.

Requirements

  • Preferred IT Project Management or scrum master experience.
  • Experience or education in information systems or a related technical field.
  • Effective communication and articulate sharing of ideas.
  • Technical understanding and ability to translate into digestible content for clients.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Creative problem solving and strategic thinking.
