About the position

The Systems Analyst Consultant at EM Key Solutions will support a contract with the Veterans Benefits Administration, focusing on Pension Claims Automation. This remote position requires expertise in Business Process Modeling, systems engineering, and software design to analyze requirements and recommend solutions that enhance automation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
• Determine whether the stated requirements are clear, complete, consistent, and unambiguous.
• Reconcile conflicts and abstract high-level information into details.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the Automation Effort's structure, policies, and operations.
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Stay current on the latest processes and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Communicate and collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders to analyze information needs, business systems, and functional requirements.
• Develop and interpret functional requirements, business requirements documentation, and requirements traceability matrix.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling.
• Experience documenting and analyzing business rules and requirements.
• Understanding of Software/Systems Engineering and Software Design Concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Competency in Microsoft tools, including collaboration applications within Office 365.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IBM's Blueworks Live business process management tool.
• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically in Pension Claims Processing.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence collaboration tools.
