About the position

The Systems Analyst (Data Migration) role involves assisting a State Entity with a data migration project focused on healthcare systems. The position requires developing and implementing migration strategies, ensuring compliance with standards, conducting testing and quality assurance, and providing post-migration support. This is a temporary, full-time contract position that allows for remote work, but candidates must reside in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR.
• Document all phases of the migration process and create detailed project documentation in line with client's requirements.
• Design and implement workflows that integrate with the existing system to ensure a seamless transition.
• Ensure compliance with standards, including clinical data management and security, and establish protocols for data integrity and privacy.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts and managing test scenarios.
• Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders and prepare presentations to explain the migration process.
• Facilitate post-migration support by training end-users and preparing comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of System Analyst experience, preferably with healthcare EHR systems.
• Experience with database management systems and data migration.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL Server and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience documenting business process flows.
