About the position

The Systems Analyst II position at OpTech is a critical role focused on implementing benefit changes for multiple client customers. This position requires a deep understanding of the claims benefits system, where the analyst will identify and document requirements for system changes. The role involves claims testing and validation of system enhancements, ensuring that all changes are implemented effectively and efficiently. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the requirements are met and that the system functions as intended after changes are made. In this role, the Systems Analyst II will leverage their strong medical and facility claims background to navigate the complexities of the billing process, including the use of ICD codes, procedure codes, and diagnosis codes. The analyst will also need to possess a detailed knowledge of medical, dental, vision, and hearing benefits to effectively manage the various aspects of claims processing and benefit changes. The position demands excellent analytical and organizational skills, as the analyst will be managing multiple concurrent assignments and ensuring that all documentation is clear and concise for stakeholders who may not have direct knowledge of the subject matter. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Access, and will demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Responsibilities

  • Implement benefit changes for multiple client customers.

Requirements

  • Strong medical and facility claims background, understanding of the billing process, ICD codes, procedure codes, diagnosis codes.
  • Strong knowledge of medical claims benefits processing.
  • Detailed knowledge of medical, dental, vision, and hearing benefits.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to write clear and concise documentation that can be understood by others who may not have direct knowledge of the subject.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Great interpersonal skills, collaboration skills, and a team spirit attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • NASCO 3270 Mainframe experience.
  • Experience with membership/eligibility.
  • BFM/BFAST benefit configuration experience - analysis, testing, configuration, documentation and all quality processes.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
