About the position

The Systems Analyst II position is a remote contract role focused on data migration and systems analysis. The role involves understanding business objectives, analyzing user requirements, and ensuring compliance with standards during the migration of EHR systems. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to document processes, conduct testing, and provide post-migration support.

Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
• Confer with personnel of organizational units to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR, including data assessment, cleansing, and mapping.
• Document all phases of the migration process and create detailed project documentation in line with client requirements.
• Design and implement workflows that integrate with the existing system for a seamless transition.
• Ensure compliance with data migration standards, including clinical data management and security.
• Establish protocols for data integrity, privacy, and compliance with federal and state regulations, such as HIPAA.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing unit test scripts and managing test scenarios.
• Provide regular updates on migration progress to project stakeholders and prepare presentations to explain the migration process and technical challenges.
• Facilitate post-migration support, including training end-users and preparing comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems analysis and EHR systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle.
