About the position
The Systems Analyst at Hastings College is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining systems solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This role involves working with SQL code, PowerShell scripts, and ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration and reporting. The position requires collaboration with vendors and a strong understanding of user requirements to provide technical support and maintain data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL code and PowerShell scripts for system automation.
- Engineer ETL processes for data transformation and integration.
- Create and manage operational reports using BI platforms to ensure data integrity.
- Provide support for vendor software updates and document system architecture changes.
- Serve as a technical liaison, troubleshooting vendor package issues and facilitating communication.
- Interpret user requirements and offer technical support while maintaining a strong understanding of business metrics.
- Collaborate with vendors and adapt to new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, operations research, or a related field.
- At least two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with T-SQL, MySQL, or other query languages.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SSRS, SQL Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, MSSQL Databases, PowerShell, Python, or PowerBI.
