About the position

The Systems Analyst with Database Experience & Healthcare role focuses on the migration of data from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR. This position involves developing migration strategies, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, conducting testing and quality assurance, and providing post-migration support. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to document processes and facilitate a seamless transition to the new system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR, including data assessment, cleansing, and mapping.
• Ensure compliance with HHSC standards, including clinical data management and security, and establish protocols for data integrity and privacy.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts and managing test scenarios.
• Provide regular updates on migration progress to project stakeholders and prepare presentations to explain the migration process and system functionality.
• Facilitate post-migration support by training end-users and preparing comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience with database management systems and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems like Netsmart myAvatar.
• 7 years of experience utilizing InterSystems Cach Database, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server SQL and database scripting.
• 7 years of experience in documenting business process flows and standardizing process flow improvements.
• 7 years of experience in business analysis, including reviewing and analyzing user requirements and operational procedures.
• 7 years of experience resolving complex data-related issues using analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
• 7 years of experience preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills for producing clear project documentation and engaging with stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams and inspire productivity and collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights.
• Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure and information systems.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
• 2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
• 2 years of familiarity with existing and planned software technology and software architecture components.
• 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.
