About the position

The Systems Analyst position at a faith-based organization involves analyzing business and user requirements to automate processes across multiple departments and locations. The role includes conducting feasibility studies, reviewing system capabilities, and assisting in the planning and development of new systems or modifications to existing systems to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Interview or survey workers and observe job performance to determine process flow.
• Document computer systems, day-to-day procedures, and user applications.
• Expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
• Test and analyze systems to identify code problems, software errors, or deficiencies and collaborate with programmers to correct them.
• Train users to work with computer systems and programs.
• Provide problem resolution and on-call support for software applications and computer systems.
• Ensure adequate test procedures are defined, documented, and implemented for new and existing systems.
• Work with fellow IT staff to recommend information technology systems and processes related to software technology planning, development, implementation, system security, and interfaces.
• Review literature and resources to stay updated on new software/hardware products and technological advances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree desired.
• At least 4 years of experience directly related to the essential duties and responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills to interface with users and programmers.
• Exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
• Knowledge of a broad range of multi-user computer systems and applications.
• Ability to design, develop, and implement integrated hardware/software systems solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of federal copyright laws as they pertain to the use of computer software.
