As a member of the IT Services Platform Services team, the Systems Analyst provides diverse technical services in support of mission-critical operating systems such as z/OS mainframe and other platforms including Windows and/or Linux that support business operations for the campus. Primary responsibilities will include provisioning access to critical system and application resources, creation, modification and deletion of system and user accounts, in addition to administering file and database access rule changes. The Systems Analyst will also support the campus Distributed Administrative Computing Security System (DACSS), mainframe application release management and job scheduling functions including granting and removing of functions that control user access to enterprise applications. This role will work in close collaboration with IT Services application developers, data center operations team, Department Security Administrators (DSAs), and also participates in the campus DACSS Workgroup. Additional responsibilities may include documentation of standard procedures, supporting application testing efforts, software product patching and upgrades and general customer support. The Systems Analyst may work after hours as needed or assigned. The Systems Analyst will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring UCLA's IT Infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the university's academic mission.
