About the position

The Systems and Data Analyst plays a crucial role in transforming complex academic and administrative systems into user-friendly web applications for Education Abroad stakeholders. This position supports, maintains, and updates the Education Abroad website, manages the program database and application system, and ensures timely resolution of system issues. The analyst is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and visualizing data for internal and external stakeholders, while also creating documentation and training for staff to optimize system use.

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex academic and administrative systems into user-friendly web applications.
  • Support, maintain, and update the Education Abroad website.
  • Manage the program database and application system.
  • Maintain relationships with software vendors and manage troubleshooting processes.
  • Compile, analyze, and synthesize data for stakeholders.
  • Create data visualizations for internal and external use.
  • Develop documentation and training for staff on system optimization.
  • Set priorities among competing demands and find solutions to potential problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in web application development.
  • 3 years of experience with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects.
  • Experience advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Significant expertise in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in compiling and analyzing data and statistical reports.
  • Ability to manage complex administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of SAS, Tableau, BI360, or other statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of study abroad programming and practices.
  • Experience using a Study Abroad application management and database system(s).
  • Work experience in an educational or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, or other programming languages.
  • User Experience Research.
