About the position

The Systems Analyst III (Product Owner) role at Expeditors focuses on enhancing customer experience through the development of the EXP.O NOW platform. This position is responsible for acting as a customer proxy, collaborating with product management and technical stakeholders to ensure the delivery of valuable digital products that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise and agile methodologies to prioritize backlogs, create user stories, and facilitate communication between teams, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and business value.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and prioritize the team's backlog in alignment with the program vision and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product management and program stakeholders to translate business/functional requirements into technical requirements.
  • Perform analysis on new feature development for business applications.
  • Create and understand system integration diagrams and perform gap analysis.
  • Create objectives for the team to ensure delivery of business value.
  • Create User Stories that define acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure the team's output meets user needs and complies with the Definition of Done.
  • Participate in/lead SAFe ceremonies such as backlog refinement, PI planning, and system demos.
  • Collaborate with the development team to analyze and document improvements for applications with security and efficiency in mind.
  • Provide a user-centered perspective to ensure business value is met.
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners to resolve dependencies and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • 5+ years in a related technical role.
  • 5+ years of business and/or systems analysis experience.
  • Strong agile leadership experience in a software development environment with Agile Development practices including Scrum and SAFe.
  • Experience in creating and presenting complex business and technical concepts to a broad range of audiences.
  • Effective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive toward clarity and consensus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to compose concepts, ideas, and designs into actionable/measurable deliverables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Logistics, Brokerage, and/or Transportation Industry.
  • Certification in Leading SAFe and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Previous experience working with SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Passion for technology.
