About the position

As the Systems Application Engineer III at Schneider Electric, you will play a crucial role in managing the technology that supports the Security Command Center, enterprise physical access control system, and video management system. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the security and compliance of these systems. You will be responsible for monitoring technical controls to ensure regulatory compliance, managing system patching and life cycle planning, and overseeing the onboarding and off-boarding of assets. Additionally, you will lead projects related to access control and video management systems, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and securely. In this position, you will maintain compliance with various regulatory programs, including NERC CIP, SOX, BPU, and FERC Affiliate Restrictions. You will manage patching cycles for workstations and servers, upgrade and implement systems, and oversee life cycle management and vulnerability mitigations. Your role will also involve supporting infrastructure projects, which are essential for maintaining the integrity and security of the systems you manage. Your ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with IT and Cyber Security Risk Compliance (CSRC) teams will be vital for your success in this role. This position reports to the IT Services Manager in Lyndhurst, NJ, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the security and efficiency of Schneider Electric's operations. Responsibilities

  • Monitor technical controls for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage system patching and life cycle planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Engineering, or five or more years of technical experience in physical security systems.
  • At least two years of experience with physical access control and video management systems.
  • Proficiency in administering Active Directory.
  • Strong networking and security IP device knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting skills in security technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Certifications in AMAG Symmetry, Genetec, and Commend.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
