About the position

As the Systems Application Engineer III at Schneider Electric, you will play a crucial role in managing the technology that supports the Security Command Center, enterprise physical access control system, and video management system. This position is essential for ensuring that all technical controls are monitored for regulatory compliance, which includes managing system patching and life cycle planning. You will oversee the onboarding and off-boarding of assets, and lead various projects related to access control and video management systems. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining compliance with regulatory programs such as NERC CIP, SOX, BPU, and FERC Affiliate Restrictions. In this role, you will manage patching cycles for workstations and servers, upgrade and implement systems, and oversee life cycle management and vulnerability mitigations. Supporting infrastructure projects will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Your ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, respond to emergencies, and collaborate effectively with IT and Cyber Security Risk Compliance (CSRC) teams will be essential for your success in this position. This position requires a proactive approach to managing security systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards, making it a vital role within the organization. You will be expected to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in physical security systems, contributing to the overall security posture of Schneider Electric.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor technical controls for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage system patching and life cycle planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Engineering, or five or more years of technical experience in physical security systems.
  • At least two years of experience with physical access control and video management systems.
  • Proficiency in administering Active Directory.
  • Strong networking and security IP device knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting skills in security technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Certifications in AMAG Symmetry, Genetec, and Commend.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional security technologies.
