About the position

The Systems Designer/Drafter at Oshkosh AeroTech will support engineers by creating and modifying drawings and layouts using Siemens NX. This role involves designing various components for aviation ground support products, ensuring compliance with Oshkosh standards, and preparing Bill of Materials (BOM). The position requires a strong understanding of CAD specifications and the ability to work with different materials.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers with drawing layouts using Siemens NX.
• Create new and modified components and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Design parts for products including electrical components, steel castings, and hydraulic hose routings.
• Update current drawings per markups based on engineering direction.
• Re-master CAD drawings to current format.
• Self-check work for accuracy and organization, ensuring conformance with CAD specifications.
• Prepare Change Notice (CN) documents based on BOM and design layouts.
• Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers and follow data entry requirements.
• Create and review BOM following engineering procedures.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent with four years of experience in drafting/design.
• Proficiency with design software such as CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Siemens NX.
