About The Position

The Systems Development Engineer for Amazon Elastic VMware Service (EVS) is responsible for designing and developing highly available and large-scale services that enhance customer experiences with VMware workloads on AWS. This role involves collaborating with engineers and business leaders to create new capabilities, ensuring customer needs are met, and participating in product definition and technical architecture reviews. The position requires a strong understanding of VMware technologies and a commitment to teamwork and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems.
• Hands-on experience with VMware technologies including ESXi, vSAN, NSX, and VCF.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Ruby.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building services using AWS products.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience programming in modern languages such as C++, C#, or Golang.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new capabilities for VMware workloads on AWS.
