About the position

This position offers an opportunity to join Amazon's technical team in Seattle, WA, focusing on developing and managing large-scale distributed systems within Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role involves working closely with top engineers and technical managers to enhance customer experiences and address specific needs across a suite of services. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly in Linux and networking, and will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues while contributing to a fun and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Amazon's largest customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services.
  • Dive deeply into technical issues and improve customer experience.
  • Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices.
  • Conduct technical post-mortem discussions to identify root causes of complex issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience.
