About the position

The position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) with a focus on Heavy TechSIGINT, requiring a Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop engineering documentation and facilitate the development and solicitation of system requirements or specifications. The SE will be involved in the design, development, and testing of revitalization efforts for TechSIGINT within the X1142 program. This role necessitates effective communication across multiple organizations and agencies to gather, document, and create both functional and non-functional requirements. A significant aspect of this position is capturing requirements and characterizations for a specific system. The SE will be tasked with transforming these requirements into implementable system specifications for a prototype system. The individual will hold ultimate responsibility for validating the technical integrity of the system design, the work performed, and the deliverables produced. Additionally, the SE will perform information gathering related to data and conduct focused research on network topologies, architectures, and protocols. This includes high-level system design and creating network diagrams that involve all relevant stakeholders, as well as defining non-functional requirements for related networks. The role also involves determining data connectivity and storage requirements and managing these requirements within Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering documentation for TechSIGINT revitalization efforts.
• Solicit and develop system requirements or specifications.
• Design, develop, and test systems within the X1142 program.
• Communicate across multiple organizations and agencies to gather requirements.
• Capture requirements and characterizations for specific systems.
• Transform captured requirements into implementable system specifications for prototypes.
• Validate the technical integrity of system designs and deliverables.
• Perform information gathering regarding data and research on network topologies, architectures, and protocols.
• Create high-level system designs and network diagrams involving stakeholders.
• Determine data connectivity and storage requirements and manage them within Confluence.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
• 14 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, specifically in Heavy TechSIGINT.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML).
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizations and agencies.
• Experience in capturing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Proven ability to validate technical integrity of system designs and deliverables.
• Experience in information gathering and research on network topologies, architectures, and protocols.
• Proficiency in managing requirements within Confluence.
