About the position
The Systems Engineer 3 position at ManTech International Corporation involves managing system requirements and ensuring the delivery of production systems compatible with defined architectures. The role requires contributing to systems engineering documentation, coordinating cross-discipline actions, and participating in integrated product teams to design new capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering and a strong understanding of security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems compatible with defined system architectures.
- Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
- Assist with the development of system requirements and allocation to hardware, software, and personnel components.
- Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board meetings and design reviews.
- Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based on operational considerations.
- Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystems.
- Generate alternative system concepts and design solutions.
- Define methods and evaluation criteria for verifying systems against requirements.
- Develop system design solutions that satisfy system requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
- Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structures and integrated master plans.
- Participate in interface definition and design changes throughout the life cycle.
- Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements.
- Establish and gain approval of system definitions under development.
- Develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services.
Requirements
- Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
