About the position

The Systems Engineer position at BAE Systems involves designing, integrating, and testing advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and international customers. The role requires participation in multi-disciplinary research and development of simulation models, focusing on system optimization and performance assessment. The engineer will work both independently and as part of a team to solve complex problems and provide high-fidelity simulations for various defense applications.

Responsibilities

• Development of Simulation Models
• Leadership of small teams and/or specific efforts
• Perform simulation using government or industry tools to determine measures of performance (MOPs) and measures of effectiveness (MOEs) for systems
• Perform modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission performance for tactical and weapon systems across various domains
• Visualization of the battlespace at a mission or engagement level
• Use, develop, and modify tools to support data analysis of simulation or flight test results
• Requirements analysis

Requirements

• A Masters' Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge in Mathematics and Physics
• Experience with linear and nonlinear systems, probability and stochastic systems, control systems, and estimation (Kalman filters)
• Familiarity with navigation, geolocation, and tracking
• Eligibility for a government security clearance
