About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern for Summer 2025 in Moorestown, NJ. This role involves executing all phases of the systems engineering process, including requirements allocation, system design, data analysis, and system integration. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers to develop skills in systems engineering principles and contribute to innovative projects that address complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Execute all phases of the systems engineering process including requirements allocation, tracing, and authoring.
• Conduct system design and algorithm development.
• Perform data analysis of simulation and test data.
• Participate in system integration and testing.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent.
• Strong foundation in systems engineering principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with UNIX OS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with model-based system engineering using SysML.
• Knowledge of algorithm development and data analysis.
• Experience with formal requirements verification and test procedure development.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git.
• Experience with system integration and testing.
