About the position

The Systems Engineer - Corporate role is essential for providing first- to second-level engineering support to the operations team and editorial staff. This position focuses on maintaining and optimizing corporate systems, storage solutions, and databases, ensuring their stability, security, and performance across various platforms including Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Responsibilities

• Provides first- and second-level technical support to the operations team and editorial staff, addressing issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
• Manages corporate systems, ensuring they are updated, secure, and perform optimally.
• Oversees and manages corporate storage systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
• Supports and maintains corporate databases, performing routine maintenance including backups and monitoring.
• Works closely with other IT teams and departments to coordinate system upgrades and deployments.
• Maintains accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
• Implements and enforces security policies and procedures to protect corporate systems and data.
• Evaluates, prioritizes, solves, and escalates all tickets in a ticketing system.
• Proficiency in scripting languages to automate tasks and streamline processes.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in systems engineering or a similar role with a strong background in Windows, Linux, and Mac systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office O365 is a plus.
• Proficiency in managing and supporting storage solutions and databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with security best practices and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical certifications (MCSA/MCSE OR RHCE) are preferred.
• ITIL Foundation desired.
• Minimum of three years broadcast media experience.
• Three to five years of experience in the IT domain and enterprise networking.
