About the position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer (Design and Test) who will be responsible for identifying requirements for building complex systems, collaborating with designers to ensure systems meet customer needs, and executing tests to verify system functionality. This role emphasizes problem-solving and communication skills, and requires a strong understanding of complex computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify requirements for building complex systems.
• Work with designers to ensure the system meets customer needs.
• Devise and execute testing to verify that the system meets those needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering).
• Basic understanding of complex computer-based systems.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate and understand systems requirements.
• Possess a TS/SCI clearance to start.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analysis of computer systems capabilities and characteristics.
• Experience in defining test techniques for computer systems.
• Basic understanding of government acquisition processes and lifecycle.
