About the position

As a DevOps Engineer at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the nation by applying your expertise in deploying systems and capabilities for the Intelligence Community. This position involves operational support for a comprehensive motion imagery software suite within a non-internet accessible on-prem hybrid environment primarily built on Kubernetes. Your work will directly contribute to delivering actionable intelligence and protecting the country from threats.

Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on motion imagery software suite.
  • Provide operational support in a non-internet accessible on-prem hybrid environment.
  • Utilize development and scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, Java, and C#.
  • Manage source code using tools like Git and Subversion, and handle artifact repositories.
  • Implement automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
  • Utilize build and packaging tools like Gradle, Maven, and Poetry.
  • Employ DevSecOps principles including configuration management and continuous delivery.
  • Build, secure, and operate containers in a dynamic environment.
  • Administer Kubernetes clusters and deploy workloads using Helm.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Two (2+) years of related DevOps engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent four (4) years job-related experience, or a Master's degree with (3+) years of job-related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience in building and operating containers in a Kubernetes-based environment.
  • Knowledge of container and Linux host networking.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and Elastic stack.
