The Engineering & Sciences organization is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer supporting Integration and Test efforts in the G/ATOR program family, based out of our portfolio in the Maritime & Land Sensors and Systems (MLSS) Division. This position is an on-site, primarily 1st shift position, and will be located in Linthicum, Maryland. Note that the scope for this role requires supporting test efforts during multiple shifts; candidates must be flexible to support testing in evenings and on weekends at times when the program schedules require it.

Responsibilities

  • Integrating, troubleshooting, and testing RF sensor systems
  • Supporting integration / lab environment development and establishment
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to understand expected unit level and system level behavior to define test cases, and ensure testing is producing expected data points
  • Define & develop test capabilities that exercise and stress respective software and hardware capabilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plans

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields. 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Candidate must be a US citizen
  • Ability to support multiple shifts (i.e. 2nd shift, weekends) when test schedule demands it
  • Experience with RF lab test equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems
  • Experience with test scripting, data analysis, and/or signal processing
  • Knowledge of RF systems and hardware
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
  • Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, test
  • Master's degree in STEM or technical leadership
  • Experience supporting USMC and/or USAF customer
  • Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR)
