About the position

The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the productization of hardware/software centric implantable medical devices, specifically focusing on an implantable pulse generator transitioning from R&D to commercialization. This position requires strong coordination between internal teams and third-party vendors, with an emphasis on systems engineering principles and detailed documentation review.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development efforts between internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Review all systems-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with project management, design control, and change control procedures.
  • Support the Lead Systems Engineer in technical aspects of the development process.
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Experience in development of complex systems with multiple subsystems.
  • Good understanding of project management, design control, and change control procedures.
  • Strong engineering problem-solving skills and ability to perform complex engineering analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with Class III medical devices.
  • Technical background in implantable medical device design, manufacturing, mechanical and electronic assembly processes.
  • Good technical writing skills and computer skills.
