About the position

The Human System Integration Engineer II at PMAT Inc. is responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of requirements across various domains to support Command and Control capabilities for the Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This role involves working closely with the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in San Diego, CA, focusing on the integration of human factors into system design and ensuring effective operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks associated with the development and implementation of Architectures for RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Validate data and develop technical drawings documenting IT architectures and related specifications for various platforms.
  • Provide functional knowledge and technical support for developing enterprise architecture including data structure supporting Systems Modeling Language (SySML).
  • Monitor and track existing architectures focused on programs and their interfaces.
  • Modify existing technical drawings for IT architectures and related specifications.
  • Manage system operations and administration for modeling and simulation tools within an Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).
  • Develop target architectures based on Defense in Depth Information Assurance Functional Architecture (DFIA).
  • Create roadmaps for Science and Technology (S&T) and forecast systems for integration into Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Review and analyze Acquisition Engineering documentation for programs in the RDT&E lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science from an ABET accredited program.
  • Eight years of experience in systems engineering or related fields.
  • Six years of experience in government-related R&D, Testing and Evaluation, and systems acquisition programs.
  • Experience in comparative multi-domain HSI engineering analysis and impact assessments.
  • Four years of relevant HSI engineering experience in areas such as design, installation, integration, and test support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems Modeling Language (SySML).
  • Experience managing system operations and administration for modeling and simulation tools.
  • Experience developing roadmaps for Science and Technology (S&T).
  • Experience in cybersecurity technical assessments and penetration testing.
